Here is a hand forged Anglo Saxon Inspired Seax.
The blade has a wrought iron broken back spine with two alternate twisted pattern welded bars and a high carbon steel cutting edge. The blade has been hardened and tempered.
The handle is ash , stained and waxed.
It also features an ornate copper filigree bolster and end cap, all hand soldered together. Completely unique and not a casting. The blade’s tang is peened through the handle.
